Over the past few years, we at Shepherd Project have become increasingly aware of the disparity between the U.S. and the rest of the world in terms of the availability of quality biblical training and equipping. Faithful men and women of God can be found living lives of radical submission to the Lord in nearly every country in the world. However, there is often a lack of well-grounded teaching and training that will enable them to understand God’s Word effectively and defend the truth of Christianity against attacks both intellectual and practical.
Ironically, the one place where this teaching and training is most accessible, the United States, is often also the one place where Christians feel the least need of it, since their faith is rarely opposed to the extent that is common in other cultures.
Shepherd Project is launching a major initiative to partner with ministries in various countries with the goal connecting the resources available in the U.S. with the needs in the rest of the world. Our intent is to put world-class biblical teachers and training resources into the hands of the persecuted and oppressed Christians who are most in need of it. We have been and are currently working to produce pastor/leadership training programs in conjunction with ministries already operating in Pakistan, Myanmar, Guatemala and Zimbabwe.
