Murph: Why did you and mom name me after something that’s bad? Cooper: I didn’t. Murph: Murphy’s law? Cooper: It means whatever can happen, will. And that sounded pretty good to us!

Cooper: You telling me it takes two numbers to measure you’re a** but only one to measure my son’s potential?

Murph: How did it go? Cooper: I got you suspended.

Cooper: It’s like we’ve forgotten who we are. Explorers, pioneers…

Cooper, about the past: There was something new being invented every day. … We used to look up and wonder about our place in the stars and now we just look down and wonder about our place in this dirt.

Professor Brand: Public opinion wouldn’t allow spending on space exploration

Professor Brand: Driven by the unshakeable faith that the earth is ours. Not ours alone, but our own.

Cooper: Ok, now you need to tell me what’s your plan to save the world. Professor Brand: We’re not meant to save it. We’re meant to leave it.

Cooper: I’ve got kids, professor. Professor Brand: Get out there and save them.

Donald: This world was never enough for you, Coop.

We farmers, we say “next year.” It’ll never get better.

Cooper: Mankind was born on earth. He was never meant to die here.

Cooper: Now we’re just here to make memories for our kids. We are the ghosts of our children’s future.

Brand: We’re going to be spending a lot of time together. Cooper: So we should learn to talk. Brand: And when not to. Just being honest with you. Cooper: That’s a little too honest.

Cooper: You know some of the finest yachtsmen in the world don’t know how to swim? We’re explorers and this is our boat.

Brand: We need to think about time as a resource, just like water and food.

Tars: I wouldn’t leave you behind, Dr. Brand.

Brand: Time is relative. It can stretch and it can move, but it can’t come backwards.

Brand: Can’t you tell ‘em you were going to save the world? Cooper: When you become a parent, one thing becomes really clear. You need to make the world safe and that rules out telling them the world is ending.

Murph: With all respect, professor, it’s failed millions of times. Professor Brand: It only has to work once.

Brand: We love people who have died. Where’s the social utility in that?

Brand: Love is the one thing we are capable of receiving that transcends time and space.

Cooper: You might have to choose between seeing your children again and saving the human race. I just hope you’ll be as objective then.

Mann: Pray you never learn just how good it can be just to see another face.

Mann: You have literally raised me from the dead. Cooper: Lazarus.

Murph: He left us here, to suffocate. To starve. Did my father know too? Dad? I just want to know if you left me here to die. I just have to know.

Brand to Cooper: You never would have come here unless you thought you were gonna save them. Cooper: But the lie. That monstrous lie. The people down there made sacrifices because, in his arrogance, he declared their case hopeless.

Mann: Our survival instinct is our single greatest source of inspiration.

Mann: It’s funny—when I left Earth I was prepared to die. I never really considered the possibility my planet wasn’t the one.

Cooper: You faked all the data?

Do not go gentle into that good night.

Brand: You can’t ask TARS to do that. Cooper: He’s a robot. We don’t have to ask him to do anything for us.

Cooper: This few minutes here is going to cost us 51 years!

You don’t sound so bad for 121!

Cooper: I thought they chose me. They didn’t choose me. They chose her to save the world.

Cooper: How nice you named it after me. Scientist laughs: We named it after your daughter.

Cooper: Honesty—new setting 95%

Cooper: I don’t care much for this pretending like we’re back where we started. I want to know where we’re going.

Murph: People didn’t believe me, but I knew you’d come back…because my dad promised me.
